Andrew Murphy is the Executive Director, Operations of The John Lewis Partnership (Waitrose Supermarkets, John Lewis Department Stores & John Lewis Financial Services) and a member of the Partnership’s Executive Committee, reporting to Executive Chairman, Dame Sharon White.
Andrew oversees all aspects of the Partnership's technology, supply chain network, enterprise process management, crisis response, business continuity and the execution of its change portfolio.
Prior to taking up his current role Andrew was the Chief Information Officer and, prior to that, the Partnership’s Group Productivity & Change Director. Previously Andrew spent five years as Retail Director of John Lewis, where he had responsibility for all aspects of John Lewis’ shops & contact handling centres, leading 24,000 Partners and generating sales of £3 billion per annum.
Over the last twenty years Andrew has worked extensively in the pursuit of sustainable improvement in the economic performance of the UK's cities and city-regions through a variety of leadership roles.
Dr. Mark Coté is a leading researcher on the social, cultural, and political economic dimensions of big data, algorithms and machine learning. Since joining King’s in 2013 he has received more than £4 million in research funding, and his research has been widely presented, including at the British Academy, the European Parliament, Transmediale, the Bank of England, the Royal Society, and the Italian National Research Council.
Alison is the Chief Transformation Officer at Oxfam, having joined the organisation on loan from the UK government, to support their post-COVID transformation programme and has held previous transformational roles in the Cabinet Office as well as The Open University. She is an experienced senior systems leader with a passion for setting and implementing strategic change in a complex environment that leads to an improvement in financial and operational performance. Throughout her career, she has built and developed high performing teams that work across organisational boundaries.

Lucy directs Google's Market Insights team where she and her team analyse changes in consumer behaviour to help marketers inside and outside Google develop their strategies. Prior to Google, she worked in publishing and entertainment leading digital transformation for the Royal Opera House and the i newspaper, and was Director of Marketing and Audiences at the BBC, where she launched BBC3 and developed the BBC iPlayer. When not at work she spends time with her 3 daughters, new lockdown puppy and wistfully remembers when people went skiing.
Ahmad is the CEO and a co-founder of the multi-award winning startup Evocco which is helping to accelerate the green transition in the food industry. Evocco helps consumers track, improve and offset the emissions associated with their food purchases. He is passionate about technology and using it as a tool to find impactful solutions to the climate crisis.
Rita joined Alipay in 2010 and was initially responsible for driving partnerships with major Chinese banks. In 2011, she became one of the founding members of the Alipay International Business department and has since held senior roles in business development and partnerships in Asia, the U.S and Europe. From 2015 to 2017, Rita was based in London while serving as Head of EMEA for Alipay, overseeing the company’s overall business in the region, including business development, operations and marketing activities. She was a leading member in the Alipay – UEFA global partnership, driving the firm’s new venture into sports as a platform for globalisation. She was also appointed as CEO of Alipay (UK), serving on the board of the company. Before joining Alipay, Rita was business development manager at American Express. Rita joined UK fintech Mode as Chief Commercial Officer and Board Director in March 2020. She was named one of the Top 10 Women in Fintech in 2020 by Fintech Futures.
Randolph is the Director of Innovation & Electricity Systems at the Energy Networks Association, and has over ten years of experience in the electricity and energy sector in the UK, Europe and Australia. Randolph leads teams looking at Digitalisation, Engineering, Future Networks (Open Networks Project), Innovation, Low Carbon Technologies and Resilience. He is responsible for coordinating and delivering a broad range of strategic initiatives, including how networks can help to deliver Net Zero. He has previous experience in the design and management of multi-disciplinary power projects in the power and renewables sectors. Randolph has an M.Phil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and has presented at a wide range of events and conferences.
Brandie Deignan takes a vision and makes it reality through sound strategy development and operational excellence. She intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that winds through an organisation, bringing them into a coherent whole, helping others extend their thinking and driving material business advantage.
In early 2021 Brandie joined primary care within NHS in general practice as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this role, Brandie was Managing Director at Marco Pierre White Restaurants, cementing her c20 years experience in the consumer service delivery industry across hospitality, retail and aviation. Before her MD role, Brandie held senior leadership positions at British Airways Plc, Tesco Plc, Whitbread, Travelodge and Hilton Hotels, where she started her career as a graduate trainee and worked her way up.
Brandie has a passion for education and equality and supports a number of schools, colleges and universities in an advisory capacity in this space. Brandie was recently voted No 41 of the Top 50 listening leaders.
James recently finished a 2-year tenure as General Manager of the UK Consumer Business at Trainline post the successful 2019 IPO and is now focussing on investing in and working with consumer tech scale ups. He is currently Chief Operating Officer/Investor at YourParkingSpace (think AirbnB for parking spaces instead of rooms) and is also an investor/advisor to Wombat (easy investments app), and Jigsaw (dating marketplace app). Prior to Trainline he had leadership roles at the top table of fast growth tech companies - Amazon, eBay, EA Games, Betfair and Sky. James is passionate about building innovative customer propositions at the intersection of marketing, data and digital product and putting together great teams and processes to run them.
Ricky Knox is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He has built five technology disruptors in fintech and telecoms, each of which also does a bit of good for the world.
Ricky is currently building the customer champion digital bank of the future, but has previously disrupted remittances with Azimo and Small World (the 6th largest remitter in the world), FX and Mobile Telecoms. Ricky is also Managing Partner at Hexagon Partners, a specialist private equity firm which invests in Financial Technology.
Karla is the Innovation Lead for Connected Transport, part of the Land Transport Team in the Manufacturing, Materials and Mobility Sector at Innovate UK and Vice Chair of ITS(UK) as well as a council member on the Highways Sector Council. She is seeking solutions which use innovative technologies to leverage smarter, greener and more sustainable future mobility systems for the efficient movement of people and goods around the world. Karla focusses on working with all sectors to enable solutions to transport challenges. Prior to this she worked for 15 years for a large Japanese automotive company as a Design Quality Engineer after completing a BA Hons in Japanese Studies.
Shane McArdle has significant experience in retail and consumer goods with a proven track record of leadership and operational expertise at businesses such as Gillette, Proctor and Gamble and most recently at Boots Ireland. Five years ago Shane joined Boots as Director of Finance for the business across Ireland. In additional to his role in Finance, Shane has led Brexit readiness preparations for the business in both the UK and Ireland for the last 4 years, working with multiple stakeholders including IBEC, BRC, UK Govt, the NI Executive, BEIS, HMRC as well as the Irish Govt and Irish Revenue.
Charlotte is Head of Innovation at Schroders, where she is globally responsible for startup engagement as well as internal innovation activities across the asset and wealth management business. In setting up Schroders’ innovation team, she has been responsible for establishing their strategic approach to innovation and fintech collaborations, including launching Schroders’ startup programme, Cobalt. She was recently selected as a ‘Rising Star of Asset Management’ by Financial News, and featured in the ‘Standout 35’ in Innovate Finance’s Women in Fintech awards 2019. Prior to joining Schroders, Charlotte worked in financial services consulting and spent a year based in Silicon Valley, connecting her corporate clients with VCs and startups. She holds a first class degree from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Neuroscience followed by a year of Management Studies.
Ann is building rocketship companies in the high-growth tech space. She is the Chief People Officer of Flo, the #1 most downloaded Health app on a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of every girl and woman worldwide. Before Flo Ann was the Group HR Director at Bumble, with previous gigs in Goldman Sachs and Rolls-Royce. She is interested in all things at the intersection of modern human capital practices, emerging tech, brands that are dripping with purpose, and business results. Ann was the Stonex Scholar at London School of Economics, has an MBA from Imperial College, is a judge at the UK Employee Experience Awards and was the HR Professional of the Year Gold Award Winner in 2019.
