Speaker - Damian Smith


Damian has been building information systems and transforming organisations for more than twenty-five years, in a range of sectors including Defence, Telecoms, FMCG, Sports, Media, Financial Services and Financial Regulation. 

Damian is Head of IT at the England and Wales Cricket Board and tenuously claims responsibility for England winning the  Men’s Cricket World Cup this year and the Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2017.  Before Damian realised that his future lay in information technology, he ran pubs, climbed mountains and starred as a body double for Tom Cruise in Hollywood movies.

Sunil is the Vice President, Chief Data Office at Barclays UK. He has over 20 years experience in leading data teams, defining business models and successfully delivering architectural plans within the Financial Services industry. 

He has worked at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Citibank and JP Morgan Chase. He also pursues an interest in smart cities and IoT.
